Abstract
Hot forging process of titaniumalloy into the middle of watch case has been analyzed by the finite elementmethod, FEM. The results of the FEM analysis for which 2-dimensions modeling was used are qualitatively consistent with those of the hot forging process experiment to a product having 3-dimensions shape. Therefore, the FEM analysis can be simplified by converting the preform and product having 3-dimensions shape into 2-dimensions modeling with axis symmetry. The FEM analysis was found to be considerably effective for predicting forging conditions and preform sizes.
