Abstract
Today, quartz watches which have an electric power generator as the energy source are paid great attention.SEIKO/KINETIC brand of quartz watchesalso have generators which generate power from the movement of the wearer'sarm.These automatic generating watches are being made smaller and thinner. As they become smaller and thinner, they also generate less electric power because of less input. In order to bring small, thin automatic generating watchesto market, we have to improve efficiency of their electric generator. The movement of oscillating weight, when the watch is worn, is a very important factor asregards this improvement. To appreciate this movement, we made an instrument which can record position of the weight while it is worm. As a result, movements of the oscillating weight are almost narrow angle with slow speed.
