Abstract

This article is about down-sizing technology of devices adopted to the wristwatch-type wearable digital camera developed under the concept of taking snap-shot chances wherever, whenever. In order to commercialize the wristwatch-type wearable digital camera with a coin scale Lithium battery, developed a system controller of capturing snap-shots, recording, display, transmitting to PCs, etc. with a low power supply. These functions become possible with down-sizing technology of each device and the latest technology for down sizing of the final product. This time, especially, the article reports newly developed devices, which are MID adapted to a CMOS sensor camera module, COF adapted to a Liquid Crystal Display module and a wafer level CSP that is the world-first technology adopted to a commercial product, and is used for a mdmory device of storing visual data in this product. Wristwatch sized camera became available by a shrinkage of each device and an optimization of the layout.
