Abstract
This paper presents measurement accuracies of tooth dimensions and shapes from X-ray images. Lengths and shapes of teeth are calculated by the 2D cross ratio technique which has been proposed in our previous work. It was made clear that tooth lengths and shapes of both single-roof and double-roof teeth could be measured with an accuracy of within 0.7 mm even if the tooth had a pan and tilt. Furthermore, a dried cranium was used in experiments for estimating practicability of our approach.
