Abstract
We attempted to obtain the cholangio-pancreatic duct image using the curved thin-slab minimum intensity projection (CSMin IP) method. This novel cholangio-pancreatic duct image was reconstructed from three dimensional volume data using a multi detector row helical-CT scans of upper abdomen. This method was successful in depicting a wide range of tortuous cholangio-pancreatic duct, reduceing the false cholangiopancreatic stenosis. And also narrowed cholangio-pancreatic duct is easily visualized, and even a branch duct. The characteristics of our examination using the CSMin IP method is little invasive examination compared to that experienced during peroral cholangio-pancreatoscopy and endoscopic retrograde pancreatography.
