千葉大学フロンティアメディカル工学研究センターと文部科学省都市エリア産官学連携推進プロジェクト (発展型) の概要

Research Center for Frontier Medical Engineering, Chiba University (CFME) was found in 2003 cooperated with Medical School and Faculty of Engineering for promotion of the research on the medical engineering. In the CFME, many project researches have been done for clinical applications. For example, at the Joint-Industry-Academia-Government Cooperative Project, we are developing a new device with low-cost, non-invasive, high resolution and reliability for diagnosis of metabolic syndrome and lifestyle diseases such as examining the arteriosclerosis by vascular pathology and image analysis, a new system for global higher brain function, a new diagnosis system for skin and membrane based on the color and spectral imaging, the elasticity and the ultrasonic examination equipment for a visceral fat. In the presentation, these research topics are introduced and some clinical applications using those developed systems are also described.
