The current AI is a specialized artificial intelligence called ANI (Artificial Narrow Intelligence), which is trained on a huge amount of data in advance and can perform the same functions as humans within the scope of that data. On the other hand, Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) is an AI with general intelligence like a human, and Artificial Super Intelligence (ASI) is an evolved version of AGI that far exceeds human intelligence. Unlike current AI systems that are specialized for specific tasks, AGI has the ability to autonomously perform a wide range of medical tasks. Medical AGI and ASI are not just technological innovations, but have the power to promote a paradigm shift in the entire medical field. Medical AGI has the potential to evolve all aspects of medical care, from diagnosis to treatment and even preventive medicine. This article briefly summarizes how the rise of AGI in the near future is expected to bring about changes in medicine, as well as the MII Society’s predictions for the future 10 years from now.
