It is essential for medical professionals to acquire both safe medical techniques and skills. Tokyo University of Technology has been conducting extended reality (XR) training using augmented reality (AR) glasses and virtual reality (VR) simulators since the training phase of the medical professional training program. The VR simulator training will be included in the regular classes from 2020, and the endotracheal suction training using AR glasses will start in 2022. In particular, the AR glasses can control contents such as medical procedures by voice commands, enabling self-training while confirming necessary information. The content includes various medical procedures and management methods that cannot be stored in memory and are stored in the device. Medical education using AR glasses enables students to learn both medical techniques and skills.
