This paper describes the development and functionality of "reLarp," an application designed to support debriefing after participation in experiential educational games, and explores the use of generative AI in its academic development. The investigation into using generative AI in joint degree programs between Japan and Germany led to the development of "reLarp." These educational games use live-action role-play (larp) to allow participants to experience different worlds, promoting deeper learning and understanding. Larp combines improvisational theatre and game elements, sometimes themed around political and social issues. Educational larp aims to enhance learning effectiveness by providing a space for reflection, clarification, and emotional support. We designed larps on themes such as the dilemma faced by socially withdrawn individuals (hikikomori) and the challenges encountered by neuro-minorities, using PAC analysis during the reflection phase. Although initial application development was unsuccessful, the advent of ChatGPT enabled us to restart the project, resulting in the current version of “reLarp.” Future improvements will focus on enhancing functionality for group discussions. The integration of generative AI has proven to be instrumental in overcoming previous development challenges and has opened new avenues for academic applications in experiential education.
