Abstract

This paper introduces the educational anonymous chat app, “Outis,” and its AI-powered app “Aivis,” both jointly developed by the author and systems engineer Satoshi Sashida. With the rapid advancement of generative AI technology, it has become increasingly imperative for academics and educators to cultivate AI literacy and specific skills among students, as well as to establish guidelines for its use. However, platform instability and the freemium model raise concerns about potential disparities in educational opportunity gaps. Additionally, the common tendency to “waste” generated texts, images, and videos poses another challenge. Our app “Aivis” offers a technical solution to tackle these issues by providing a digital collaborative space for multiple users to share and examine AI-generated content. Furthermore, it facilitates corrective feedback in second language acquisition and augments the possibilities of textual interpretation in literary analysis.
