We studied on the hardening of anhydrite (natural Anhydrous Gypsum) concerned to Keene's cement. The results of this study are summerized as follows.
(1) When andydrite was ground to fine powder and mixed with K-Alum., it represents the higher strength.
(2) Anhydrite, when calcined at a temperature about 600 to 800°C, is more desirable for hardening.
(3) Anhydrite is suitable for Keene's cement as filler.
