An aqueous suspension containing H-R (a strongly acidic ion exchange resin, H-form) is effective to dissolve some sparingly soluble inorganic salts. The titration constitutes a convenient method to drop H-R suspension in reaction vessel from a tube at a rate of one drop approximately every 6 seconds.
In this paper, an applicability of quantitative analysis of calcium compounds such as Ca (OH) 2, CaCO3 and CaSO4·2H2O, was discussed by monitoring pH and specific conductivity (κ). There are much room for further improvement, however, the titration technique developed by us appears to be useful for the empirical determination of insoluble material.
