Abstract
The numerical computation of two-dimensional Bénard convection with temperature dependent viscosity of exponential type was made with Boussinesq approximation. The free surface condition and periodic structure in the horizontal direction were assumed, where the horizontal length of periodicity is the twice of the depth. The solutions of the stationary states were obtained for the Rayleigh number Ra0=3000 and 1600. For Ra0=3000 and 1600, two stationary solutions were obtained, i.e. the flow had a multi-valued nature, with the log viscosity ratio c≥8 and c≥10 respectively.
