Abstract
A Locally Exact Numerical Scheme LENS is improved, in which the spatial distribution of the coefficients of transport equations is taking into consideration based on a four-region model. A reference general solution is derived by imposing continuous conditions on the boundary between adjacent two regions. The convection term is discretized by an interpolation formula which satisfies identically the reference general solution. Numerical experiments for 1D and 2D problems with analytical solutions have been performed.
