This report is based on a short course in the Archives College held by the Institute of Japanese Literature in 2021, and considered the state of architectural archives. Many of the architectural materials for which the author was in charge belonged to architect offices which were no longer operated, and they have been gotten storage after former employers of the institute organized them. From these experiences, I pointed out that architectural archives have each characteristics of corporate archives, science archives, and private archives. It is hoped that organize the organizing materials and released policy with referring the lectures, we have to have common understanding within the archives, and implement the policies.
