Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to examine the factors that promote corporate community activity. Companies develop regional economy by raising a profit, further they can contribute to their community by local contribution activity. However, it has not been previously shown that the factors promoting the local contribution activities of companies. In this paper, the survey was conducted face-to-face interviews of two entrepreneurs running high-tech small-scale enterprise of manufacturing industry in northern Tohoku region. The result was found that strong feelings of entrepreneurs to the community had effect on the community contribution activity of their companies, and the strong feelings was influenced by natural environment. And furthermore, it was clarified that the contents of the community contribution activity might lead to creation of the local employment by the manufacturing that it made use of main profession in.
