Abstract

Hokuriku Shinkansen opened from Nagano to Kanazawa, Ishikawa Pref. in 2015, which changed people’s way to use the transportation from flights between Haneda Airport and Komatsu Airport located in Ishikawa to Shinkansen. In this paper, how the opening to Kanazawa of Hokuriku Shinkansen made influences to Komatsu-Haneda flights, which had big demand when people went to Ishikawa and Tokyo before the Shinkansen had been launched, is analyzed. It is also analyzed about the effects of the flights when Hokuriku Shinkansen extends to Tsuruga, Fukui Pref. in 2024 spring. Some results in these analysis show that it is almost sure that some flight users have shifted to Shinkansen users, among those who transport between Tokyo and Ishikawa. When Hokuriku Shinkansen extends to Tsuruga, it might decrease flight users between Komatsu and Haneda, too.
