Interface is formed by combining two or more materials, then adhesion occurs between them. The structure of the interface has been analyzed using many methods with different principles, and its relationship to adhesive properties has been discussed. For polymers, instead of two dimensional interfaces, three dimensional “interphases” are formed between two different/same polymers. In addition, the reinforcing properties through the adhesion at the matrix/filler interface of epoxy-based composites have been discussed using X-ray diffraction. Here, I would show several results with our recent findings regarding the interface and adhesive properties. Finally, our resent results on the interface, formed when epoxy resin was cured on epoxy resin are described.
