Abstract
Amino resins have been popularly used for various fields because of excellent nature and cheaper price. The reaction mechanism and molecular structure of amino resins have been revealed with the progress of analytical means. Various studies have been continued to increase durability of amino resin and to decrease formaldehyde emmission.
And amino resin is modified or co-condensated with other materials such as phenol, isocyanate and polyvinyl alcohol.
Corresponding to the requirement of saving resource and energy in the coating industry, new kinds of resin have been developed, which are particularly desirable for powder coating, water borne coating and high solid coating.
Among them the development of glycoluril-formaldehyde resin seems to be most interesting.
