Abstract
Tris (2-carbamoyloxyethyl) isocyanurate (TCEIC) was prepared by the transesterification of ethylcarbamate with tris (2-hydroxyethyl) isocyanurate. TCEIC reacted with formaldehyde in the presence of acid as a catalyst to give a TCEIC-formaldehyde resin. The structures and thermal properies of TCEIC and the resin obtained were discussed.
