Abstract
Several experiments are set up for investigating the interaction between phases in composite materials by dynamic mechanical method. Some aspects concerning this information are obtained as follows :
1. The tan δ peaks of rubber particle shifted to lower temperatures and decreased with the increase of degree of grafting for ABS resin. This can be explained with the successive grafting of AS copolymer in “Salami” structure of rubber particle.
2. The addition of organometallic compound in epoxy-phenolic composite can improve the tensile strength of the composite. Coupling effect of the compound is suggested with the chelating between phenolic resin and the compound, and absorption of the compound with fillers.
3. The lowering of Tg and tensile strength are observed in methyl-methacrylate-butyl acrylate-acrylic acidcopolymer when negative charged filler is added. The contrary effect is observed when positive charged filler is added. The static interaction is suggested in this case.
