Abstract
A photosensitive film, the film type photoresist for the production of printed wiring boards, is briefly reviewed.
The photosensitivity depends on the glass transition temperature of the photosensitive layer. An ununi-form reaction occures along the depth of the layer due to the absorption of photoinitiators (“screen effect”). These factors should be considered carefully for the formulation of the photosensitive layer. Finally, trends in the improvement of resolution, heat resistance and processibility of the photosensitive film are discussed.
