Abstract
For proving the excellent hypothetical theory of T. Shono and E. Imoto (1949) on the activated state of ammonia catalyst during resol-reaction i. e. ((HO) -C6H4-CH2) 2N-CH2OH, the present author investigated some related articles of organic chemistry. In chapter 1 the articles on “Ammonia-aldehyde” by M. Nencki (1874), A. E. Dixon (1892) and J. R. Feldman, E. C. Wagner (1942) are introduced. In chapter 2 the articles by K. Hultzsch and G. Zigeuner (1942-52) on the phenol-hexamine resins and in chapter 3 the article by H. A. Bruson (1936) on the condensation of phenols with ethanolamine and formaldehyde. It is supposed that if formaldehyde-ammonia H2N-CH2OH is present in the reaction mixture, the bridges such as-CH2NH·H2C-or-CH2-N-CH2-are eaily produced by splitting out of NH3.
