Abstract
The synthesis of IPN (Interpenetrating polymer networks) is characterized to be one of the useful methods of achieving polymer miscibility.
The relations between morphological structures and physical properties have been described together with synthetical methods.
It is clarified that micro-dispersed domain seizes of IPN can be controlled by methods of using suitable crosslinking agents and also be controlled by effect of high pressure on synthetic process of IPN.
The possibility for making thermosetting IPN is also reviewed in relation to recent expriments about semi-IPN using polyimidesulfone, and their high moduli are discussed together with prepared blend film of polyimide molecular composite.
