G-CSF was found to be effective in treating leukopenia which occurs as a side effect of radio-and chemotherapy. Rapid increases in the WBC with no side effects such as headache, bone pain and fever were achieved in all cases. In the future, G-CSF should be useful in combination therapy with increased doses of anticancer agents.
