Forest vegetation of the Taisan-ji, Kobe-city, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan

Abstract

The forest vegetation of the Taisan-ji area in Hyogo Prefecture was investigated using the phytosociological method. On the basis of the vegetation data from 80 releves, nine forest communities were distinguished. A few vulnerable and rare species were recognized in some communities. The phytosociological distribution of the forest communities was drawn on a map of vegetation at a scale of 1:2,500.
