Abstract
We have to reduce the environmental impact in the process of paper manufacturing in order to create printing paper considering the environment. We are endeavoring to increase the rate of non-fossil fuel usage, promoting overseas afforestation of hardwood as raw material for paper, and obtaining acquire forest certifications. In addition, we are expanding the use of recycled paper. We have already introduced ECF (Elementary Chlorine Free) bleaching that is molecular chlorine free into kraft pulp making process, controlling chloroform generated secondarily in the process of pulp bleaching.
