Abstract
The environment policy since 1960s, correspondence of the ink industry, and the future environment friendly ink will be explained. The environment policy of Japan had the change to the earth environment preservation from a pollution policy in the 1990s. Run of the ink industry has been set NL regulation instituted in 1973 as the foundations of environmental correspondence. Although seeing the result comes out of earth environment preservation activities immediately is difficult, the ink maker is corresponding carefully. As environmental friendly ink, eco-mark ink, soybean oil ink, and AF ink are typical. Eco-mark ink added air pollution prevention provision, and the version 2.0 was instituted in December, 2002. Eco-mark ink can be manufactured with the technology of soybean oil ink and AF ink. Soybean oil ink has the merit in reducing air pollution, an oil exhaustion problem, and biological degradation easily. AF ink was developed in the 1990s and has continued until now. We needed development of high soluble resin, in order to use AF solvent. The latest topic is development of Non VOC ink and the ink which used the vegetable oil origin solvent.
