Abstract
Waterless plate has been a minor player as lithographic plates in spite of relatively so long history as to be born in 1970. It is mainly due to higher plate cost depending on smaller production scale. Recently getting the following wind of environmental printing, waterless plate has been reconsidered. The restriction of IPA and VOC in press room will take the position of waterless plate up to upper platform. Non-water usage in printing contributes to save global precious resources tremendously in water shortage countries. Furthermore operator will be free from longer training required for adjustment of water/ink balance operation. Thus it will be welcomed nowadays and future. It will cut the amount of spoiled sheets during production suitable for quick turnaround.
