Abstract

The current situation of ICT education in Japan was summarized in relation to specific examples of utilization of ICT in class, the frequency in which ICT is utilized, the implementation of an ICT environment in classrooms, trends in digital textbooks, and the next ministry's curriculum guideline. The issues and future prospects of Japan were discussed through reviewing the utilization of ICT in foreign countries for comparison.
