These days, in addition to the decoration and protection of substrates, various functions are requested for the films formed by coatings and inks, and many new types of such coatings and inks are developed. In the course of the development of these coatings and inks, new measuring and evaluation methods are also developed one after another. In a way, it can be said that these new measuring and evaluation methods have improved the performance of coatings and inks. Coating and ink films are the combinations of inorganic and organic compounds and are complicated heterogeneous elastomers. New rheological measuring and evaluation methods are compared with conventional measuring and evaluation methods.
