The impacts of the old entry type tourist facilities influence on the local society, case by Tohono City

Abstract

For the old entry type- tourist facilities people are utilizing technologies or knowledge of the seniors accumulated their life-long experiences as tourist resources. The purpose of this study is to identify the influences of these facilities to the local society. This case study was executed twice, focusing on the area of Tohono city of IWATE-KEN. Main data were collected by using the method of hearing and questionnaire and then they analyzed all the data of questionnaire by using the method of 'DEMATEL'. As a result, they found such effects of the old entry type-tourist facilities to the old participants as income increase, lots of social contacts, leisure-satisfaction, and new discovery for themselves. On the other hands, these facilities influence on the interest for local culture- preservation and local patriotism including the increase of local income and employment opportunities.
