Determination of Weak Acids with pK_a 6-8 by Potentiometric Titration

Abstract

The potentiometric titration previously reported has been applied to the determination of weak acids with pK_a 6-8. For the concentration level of 10^-2 mol·dm^-3, weak acids with Ka 10^-6 - 5×10^-9 are determined by Eq.(2), in which neither hydrogen ion concentrations nor response slope of glass electrode nor the procedure for linear plots are required for the calculation of concentration.
