Electrochemical Deposition and Structure of CdSe_xTe_1-x Thin Films

Abstract

CdSexTe1-x(0<x<1) thin films were deposited on Ti sheets from an acidic solution (pH=1.4) containing 1 mol.dm^-3 CdSO₄ and SeO₂+TeO₂, the total concentration of which was 1 mmol.dm-3. Although the stable structure of CdSe is wurtzite, all the deposited films had zinc blend structure. The lattice constant depended on the SeO₂/TeO₂ ratio in solution.
