Abstract
To assess the impact of fatty liver to lifestyle-related disease,197 fatty liver subjects were compared with 360 normal liver subjects in non-obese non-alcoholic patients. In fatty liver subjects, ALT, γ-GTP, total cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol, triglycerids, fasting plasma glucose level, HbA1c and uric acid level were statistically significant higher, lower in HDL-cholesterol, than in normal liver. The odds ratios of hyperlipidemia, impaired glucose tolerance in fatty liver were significant higher than in normal liver. Logistic regression analysis on background factors for fatty liver showed that only BMI had significant and the odds ratio was 1.76.
