Abstract
Objective: We studied atrial fibrillation cases in mass screening. Methods: Objects were 16,838 cases in our center's mass screening in 2004. We studied the incidence of atrial fibrillation cases. These subjects were classified into the therapy group, the examination group and the none-therapy group. We studied the relation between these three groups and symptom or smoking or alcohol. Using the data of several years in the none-therapy group, we discussed the post-guidance. Results: Atrial fibrillation group consisted of 107 cases (0.64% of 16,838 cases).71.0% in the therapy group,43.5% in the examination group, and 46.7% in the none-therapy group were the cases of symptom (+).13.0% in the therapy group,17.4% in the examination group, and 13.3% in the none-therapy group were the cases of smoking (+).46.4% in the therapy group,65.2% in the examination group, and 60.0% in the none-therapy group were the cases of alcohol (+).40.0% of the none-therapy group changed to the therapy group in the next year data. Conclusion: In consideration of the fact that several cases of the none-therapy group changed to the therapy group, we need to carry out continuous and appropriate post-guidance.
