Fibrinolytic activity decreases or is absent in the lesions of progressive systemic scleroderma (PSS) and dermatitis herpetiformis (DH). The decrease or absence of local fibrinolysis may play some role in the pathomechanism of PSS and DH. Each two cases of PSS and DH have been treated by injection of urokinase with effects.
