Abstract
A 48 year-old man was admitted for a severe burn on the upper half of his body. Since many characteristic signs and syndromes suggest disseminated intravascular coagulation after 28 hours, he was treated with anticoagulant (heparin) and fresh blood transfusion with symptomatic improvement.
