Abstract
Cutaneous lesions of herpes gestationis developed in a 25 year-old primigravida before delivery. Direct immunofluorescent studies of bullous lesion and normal appearing skin showed the presence of β1C/β1A globulin (C3) in the basement zone, no immunoglobulins (IgG, IgM, IgA) and C1q. Indirect and complement immunofluorescent findings revealed the presence of HG factor.
