Abstract

Cutaneous tuberculosis has been decreasing since 1955. Our epidemiologic study revealed that there is a definite decrease in the northern areas of Japan including Yamagata area, as compared to more southern areas. From 1976-1982, only 4 cases of cutaneous tuberculosis (3 cases of lupus vulgaris and 1 case of lupus miliaris disseminatus faciei) were seen in Department of Dermatology at Yamagata University Hospital.
