Abstract
A 54-year-old man visited our clinic complaining of bilateral leg edema for the previous 6 years. Physical examination showed well-circumscribed skin sclerosis with pigmentation on the lower regions of his bilateral legs. The laboratory findings were within normal limits except for non-specific inflammatory changes. Both lymphatic scintigraphy and venography were also normal. The histopathological findings revealed a marked accumulation of collagen bundles in the dermis and subcutis. As a result, a diagnosis of lipodermatosclerosis was made. Some improvement has been observed after physical therapy, the oral administration of Saireito and the lesional injection of steroids.
