Abstract
We describe the case of a 3-month-old boy who presented with bilaterally ingrowing big-toe nails. Thettoenails were inflamed. The problem occurred after the baby had begun to kick very actively when left lying in a prone position. He was treated with the oral administration of fosfomycin calcium (450 mg/day) for 6 days and we advised his mother not to leave him lying prone for long periods of time. The inflammation thereafter quickly subsided.
