The case of a 26-year-old male patient with icthyosiform sarcoidosis is presented. He was first diagnosed as having sarcoidosis in 1968 based on a histological examination of a subcutaneous nodule that developed on his left forearm. Since 1968, he had been treated with predonisolone. He later developed asymptomatic icthyosiform changes on his limbs and trunks. The results of skin biopsies showed epidermal changes of icthyosis vulgaris and dermal-subcutaneous granulomas of sarcoidosis. The biopsy specimens of his muscles, bone marrow and lymphnode showed non-cascating epithelioid granuloma. The dosage of predonisolone was increased from 0.5mg to 20mg daily, resulting in an improvement of his general condition but it still did not completely cure the icthyosis.
