A case report of malignant hemangioendothelioma of the right thigh, suspected recrudescence of osteomyelitis

Abstract

This patient is 67-year-old man, had a open fracture of the right femur at a battlefield, 1938.
Afterward he had osteomyelitis, which revised two times.
He visited our clinic complaining pain and tumor on his right medial thigh, 1 year ago.
We diagnosed as recrudescence of osteomyelitis and gave antibiotics, but the tumor grew larger sige, we excised it.
Microscopic section of the specimen showed malignant hemangioendothelioma.
