Abstract
Although the term “desmoid” has been linked with musculo-aponeurotic tumors arising in the anterior abdominal wall. Nichols in 1923, however, was the first to recognize and define extra-abdominal desmoid tumors.
Case report; A two-year-old boy was admitted to our hospital with a tumor in the left upper arm. The tumor was excised: hitological examination showed poorly cellular collagenous fibrous tissue with some muscle fibers. The tumor recurred three times. Each histological examination showed well differentiated fibroblasts with abundant collagen. The etiology, treatment and prognosis were discussed.
