Abstract
1. The inhibitory action of sulfonamide derivatives on potato phosphorylase was studied. Derivatives with N-containing heterocycles showed marked inhibitory effect on the enzyme action, while those without heterocycles had little effect.
2. p-Aminobenzoic acid and thiamine had the antagonistic actions on the above mentioned inhibition.
3. 4, 4′-Diaminodiphenylsulfone inhibited the enzyme action, but little antagonistic action was found in this case with p-aminobenzoic acid.
