In connection with the browning of pericarp which displays dark color in matura dackwheat seeds, polyphenolic compounds in the immature seeds have been investigated.
The flavonoids, quercetin (5mg), quercitrin (11mg), hyperin (41mg) and rutin (14mg) were isolated and identified from the immature seeds (230g).
