There have been many efforts for improving dietary habits for many years. It is necessary to get the picture of the consumer's diet in order to proceed further with appropriate measures. Previous publications and surveys clarified the overall situation regarding the dietary intake, amount of nutrients and food category intake. However, the overall situation regarding the menu and contents of meals has not been clarified. In this study, focusing on the combination of dishes, that is the combination of staple foods, accompanying dishes, soup and so on, we clarified the actual situation regarding how these dishes are combined together.
