Lungs of Franciscana (Pontoporia blainvillei), with Special References to Their External Aspects, Weights and Bronchial Ramifications

The lungs of 15 cases of F r anciscana, Pontoporia blainvillei (body length 84.5-171.0 cm) were observed macro- and light microscopically. The lungs are slender and located on the dorsal side of the thoracic and upper abdominal cavities. Pulmonary hill are located in a very high position. No lobulations can be seen on either the right or the left lungs.
