Interaction Forces between Solid Surfaces in Non-aqueous Solutions

Abstract

Although the dispersions in non-aqueous solutions are important in various industrial fields, the systematic mechanism to explain the stability of the dispersions has not been established yet. In the present study, the general characteristics of interaction forces in non-aqueous solutions are tried to be clarified, by measuring the interaction forces between hydrophilic surfaces in typical polar and non-polar media.
